  • The development of human resources in Southeast Asian universities, thereby contributing to improved education, collaboration and cooperation among Southeast Asian universities and Japanese universities.
  • The development of a collaborative network among university personnel in Southeast Asian countries and Japan.
  • The enhancement of cultural understanding and closer relationships among Southeast Asian countries and Japan.

To put it another way, the experiences and relationships acquired by the grantees during their stay in Japan do not end at the time of graduation.
